0.9.61 - We're getting into the second decimal place of our patch versioning now, proving the that the final 10% of game dev truly is the final 90% ๐Ÿ˜œ

You might notice a locked game mode in the main menu called "endless mode". I've finally come up for an idea for a longer run type structure for the game. The idea relies on a lot of tweaks that I'll be doing over the next several months:

  • raising the level cap to 9, and setting up stats for all those new special ability levels on all existing characters
  • allowing the enemies candles to be relit - we're going for 9 sets of 9 candles - so not really "endless" but maybe!
  • the ability to replace indulgences once all you spots are full
  • the ability to replace items

That's really getting into the weeds, but this blog is as much for myself to look back on as for other people to get a sense of my design goals for future versions.
