Make Nines
Make Nines is inspired by Threes, Set, and my unending devotion to 3x3 grids.
Instructions:
- Shoot pieces from the bottom using the arrow keys.
- Rotate the board with A and D.
- Three or more matching numbers will combine when touching.
- Three or more matching symbols will combine when touching.
- Nines will be removed from the board and scored.
Highest confirmed score: 5371.
I didn't want 2025 to pass without doing a game jam, so I made this for CorgiJam on 12/31/2025. Updated on 1/1/26, 1/2/26, 1/3/26, and 1/9/26 : )

I got 33 on my first try. The mechanic is very interesting, and having to think about both number and symbols adds a lot of complexity to the puzzle. Nice game !

great game! my strategy was to make the biggest number using the symbols and score them when i lose :)
small bug i found: if you make a nine using symbols and then very quickly put down something that makes the same symbol combination afterwards, the nine gets scored BUT the tile still stays in the air, and the next time you make a combination of that symbol, it adds the floating nine tile to the combination. i forgot to take a picture and couldn't replicate it :/

lots of fun! only got to 18 on my first run, i didn't quite realize how the symbols would interact and got surprised x)

Really interesting! The rotation makes for a neat spatial puzzle. The fact you have to hit a specific number to clear really increases the tension too. I managed to hit 67 on my first run. Great stuff!
